Role Overview:

Sony PlayStation is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Order-to-Cash Lead to be responsible for and optimise our O2C processes. As a key member of the finance team, you will ensure accurate and efficient management of orders, invoicing, collections, and cash applications for PlayStation’s dynamic and fast-paced global business. This role will work closely with sales, operations, and customer service teams to enhance operational efficiency and support the financial integrity of one of the most iconic gaming brands in the world.

What you'll be doing:

Credit and Collections:

  • Develop and implement credit strategies to assess and manage customer credit risks while aligning with Sony PlayStation’s global policies.
  • Monitor overdue accounts, lead collections efforts, and minimize bad debt exposure.

Billing and Invoicing:

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of invoicing, including subscription billing, micro-transactions, and retail channel invoicing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve billing disputes, pricing discrepancies, and payment terms issues.

Cash Application:

  • Supervise the application of customer payments, including digital wallet funds and retail channel payments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Address unapplied cash issues, refunds, or adjustments for seamless reconciliation.

Process Optimisation:

  • Analyze O2C processes to identify inefficiencies, particularly across PlayStation’s digital storefronts and physical distribution.
  • Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives to enhance order-to-cash operations.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the escalation point for O2C-related issues in SIEE territories, providing resolutions in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Partner with global teams across sales, marketing, and IT to align financial operations with business objectives.

Reporting and Compliance:

  • Generate O2C performance metrics, including collections efficiency, DSO, and invoice accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, industry regulations, and audit standards across global markets.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor the O2C team to ensure high performance and continuous professional development.
  • Drive a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the finance operations group.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in Order-to-Cash, accounts receivable, or finance operations,  preferably in the gaming, technology, or entertainment industries.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, a plus
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including experience with tools like Excel, ChatGPT
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with a customer-first mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Financial Analysis/Credit Review knowledge & experience required

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of global gaming and entertainment industry practices, including digital distribution, regional tax regulations, and compliance.
  • Experience with automation tools and O2C process optimisation technologies.
  • Passion for gaming and familiarity with the PlayStation ecosystem is a plus.
