About the role

The Financial Operations Associate will play a critical role as the first point of contact for all things cash. This is a hands-on role responsible for all cash in and cash out of the company - this includes daily AR, AP, credit control, bank reconciliation, and comprehensive bookkeeping. You will ensure transactional finance is operating smoothly adopting robust processes and workflows while leveraging technology to support company growth and the finance team’s analytical capability. This is an exciting role for an expert in AP and AR management to grow their career to the next step.

Where and how you’d work

This is a hybrid role will be based in either Antwerp or London. This means you would chat with your leader and team for the number of day you need to be together to collaborate and achieve outcomes in close proximity. This is often 1 - 2 days a week. The other days you have flexibility.

What you'll do in your first 6- 12 months
  • Own AR, AP, and treasury environment, leveraging financial systems and automation as far as possible.

  • Significantly improve Working Capital and DSO by creating robust processes and reporting around Aged Receivables and Credit Control

  • Consolidate bookkeeping across our entities to reduce dependency on external accountants by 100%

  • Optimise treasury by giving strong consideration to FX, banking fees, fund flows including the creation of an FX policy to better understand currency fund flows, improve hedging and minimise costs

  • Own and manage the 13 week cash flow forecast so that it becomes the backbone of cash management in the business

  • Work with the Financial Controller to continuously achieve a working day 4 close with no significant post-close adjustments needed.

  • Collaborate with the Financial Controller on integration and optimization of operational finance systems (e.g., ERP, billing systems, payment gateways, expense management software).

  • Map out and document the operational flow of all Financial operations in order to optimise its different components; identify and implement continuous improvements to enhance scalability controls

What you'll need
  • Deep expertise in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and comprehensive bookkeeping

  • Meticulously organized with exceptional numerical aptitude and attention to detail

  • Adept at learning new tools and technologies

  • Strong understanding of internal controls and a commitment to ensuring finance operations adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies

  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external partners

  • NetSuite, Spendesk, and TeamLeader experience is a plus but not required

  • Experience in a high-growth Series B SaaS environment is preferred
