Finance Operations Manager

📍 Central London (Hybrid)

💰 £45,000 - £55,000 + bonus + great benefits

As Finance Operations Manager at Cloudscaler you will play a key role, being accountable for all financial tasks, transforming our financial processes through automation and technology whilst providing crucial financial insights to support our rapid growth. You will serve as the financial backbone for Cloudscaler, combining operational excellence with strategic financial analysis.

What you’ll do

• Manage the full accounts receivable process, invoice submission portals and purchase order systems.

• Process payroll and accounts payable accurately

• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a weekly basis

• Manage expense claims and reimbursements

• Ensure our lenders audit requirements are adhered to and key documents uploaded within agreed timescales

• Track and report on key financial metrics including revenue, gross profit, and profit margins by account

• Prepare monthly management accounts with meaningful commentary and recommendations

• Develop and maintain cashflow forecasts, providing early warning of potential shortfalls

• Act as the system administrator for Xero and related financial software

• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes using technology and AI

• Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures

• Develop and document standardised financial processes

• Research and recommend new technologies to enhance financial operations

• Liaise with external accountants to facilitate quarterly and annual accounts preparation

• Ensure compliance with UK tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, corporation tax)

What we’re looking for

  • Prior experience implementing financial process automation

  • Experience providing financial analysis that has dirven business decisions

  • A background in managing cashflow and financial reporting in a growing company

  • Worked within a rapidly growing professsional services or technology company

  • Advanced proficiency with Xero accounting software, including customisation and reporting

  • Expert-level Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables and data visualisation

  • Ability to create clear financial reports for non-financial stakeholders

  • Understanding of UK taxation requirements for SMEs

  • Knowledge of financial controls and compliance requirements

  • Awareness of AI applications in financial operations and the value they can add
