We at Copart are recruiting for a Financial Office Administrator to join our Finance team based at our Head Office in Bedford (MK43 9EJ).   

The Finance Office Administrator is responsible for assisting all areas of finance with administrative duties. Whilst completing these duties they are responsible for ensuring Copart’s processes and controls are followed.  

The salary for this position is £26,775 per annum.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:   

Accounts Payable (AP) 

  • Manage AP mailbox and act as first point of contact for queries 

  • Process and distribute incoming invoices and post 

  • Set up new suppliers and conduct credit checks 

  • Collaborate with team to manage workload effectively 

  • Maintain strong communication and attention to detail 

Accounts Receivable (AR) 

  • Handle invoicing, payments, and query resolution via phone and email 

  • Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of invoices 

  • Manage AR mailbox and allocate incoming payments 

  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues and reduce debt 

Finance Team Support 

  • Provide admin support to Finance Director 

  • Organise Finance Team events 

  • Assist with general finance admin and mailbox management 

  • Perform ad-hoc holiday cover duties including payment runs, bank template setup, cheque handling, and other tasks as required 

Skills and Knowledge:   

  

Essentials  

  • Excellent attention to detail. 

  • Administration experience. 

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. 

  • Experience in managing large quantities of data. 

  • Self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude and true team player. 

  • Cross-team communication. 

  • Flexibility. 

  

Desirables  

  • Experience in a similar role (AP/AR). 

  • Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
