Job Description

What’s in it for you?
We're looking for a Finance Manager to join our Real Estate Finance Team, overseeing financial operations across property lending products and funds in retirement living, care homes, and affordable housing. You’ll lead a team of four, ensure strong financial controls, and drive continuous improvement in a hands-on, collaborative environment.

About the Team
Part of the Finance Centre of Expertise, our Real Estate Finance Team works closely with Property Lending and Investment teams, managing financial oversight across retail and institutional property funds.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Control

  • Lead monthly and quarterly reporting, audits, and FCA submissions
  • Monitor loan performance and manage bad debt oversight
  • Ensure compliance with debt covenants and financial regulations
  • Maintain and improve financial controls and procedures

Team Leadership

  • Manage and develop a team of four
  • Foster a culture of accountability and growth
  • Contribute to the Finance Leadership Group

Stakeholder Relationships

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners including auditors, fund administrators, and lenders
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships within finance

Projects

  • Lead implementation of a new loan management system (launching 2026)
  • Support new fund launches and debt facility arrangements

Continuous Improvement

  • Enhance financial systems and processes across treasury, loan, accounting, and invoice management platforms
  • Drive operational efficiencies and support ad hoc projects

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications: 

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) 
  • Previous team management experience is essential 
  • Excellent team and project management skills 
  • Experience of managing multiple stakeholder relationships, including influencing senior stakeholders 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and able to deliver accuracy in a high pressure environment 
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to changing team requirements 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience working in a financial services or property lending environment would be advantageous 
  • Experience working with Power BI and loan management systems 
  • Systems implementation experience would be beneficial
