About the job
Join a dynamic and collaborative Finance team where your expertise will directly impact the business. As a key member of a small but high-performing team, you’ll take ownership of financial and management accounting processes, drive improvements, and support strategic initiatives.

This role offers broad exposure across financial, regulatory, and management reporting, with the opportunity to lead projects and make a real difference. You’ll also manage outsourced functions and work closely with the CFO on high-impact tasks. The position is based in our London office with limited travel expected.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and analytical reviews of the P&L and balance sheet
  • Conduct monthly cost and variance analysis with commentary for SMT
  • Support the CFO in preparing Board packs and year-end financial statements
  • Oversee outsourced Accounts Payable and Bookkeeping functions, including payment runs and cash management
  • Monitor outsourcing KPIs and act as the main point of contact for external finance service providers
  • Review VAT bookings and prepare quarterly VAT returns
  • Prepare regulatory and financial returns (e.g. Corporation Tax, QIP, P11Ds, PSA, FCA reporting)
  • Main point of contact for external Auditors during annual Audit process
  • Liaise with payroll providers and People & Culture to ensure accurate and timely payroll reporting
  • Document processes and contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Lead and support various ad hoc finance projects

Your profile
We are looking for a qualified accountant with a background in financial services who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. You are analytical, detail-oriented, and a natural problem solver with a proactive mindset. Your ability to manage multiple priorities and drive improvements will be key to your success.

Strong Excel skills are essential, and familiarity with financial products such as FX, CFDs, and Equities is a plus. You communicate clearly, work well independently, and enjoy collaborating with others to achieve outstanding results.
