About the Role:

As Lawhive continues to scale rapidly, our Finance Manager will work directly with our Financial Director to play a pivotal role in managing Lawhive’s financial operations including payroll, treasury management, bookkeeping and consolidated financial reporting. Collaborating with the Financial Analyst, this role will have the opportunity to help develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and KPI monitoring, as well as support in the M&A of private law firms, driving system and process development for our accounting and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative and passionate about tech-driven solutions, with a focus on building processes around accounting, reconciliation, and control processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working directly with the Finance Director to own and manage key finance operations, including management accounts, consolidated reporting, tax, payroll, treasury management, invoice management
  • Working with external accountants to transition bookkeeping and accounting functions in-house and developing the systems and processes to support this
  • Leading the monthly financial close process for the treasury portfolio, ensuring all accounting and reconciliations are completed within deadlines.
  • The opportunity to collaborate with our Financial Analyst in developing financial models for budgeting, forecasting, KPI monitoring and M&A of relevant private law firms
  • Delivering process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting, reconciliation, and control processes.
  • Representing Lawhive as our COFA, supporting legal entity audits, along with other regulatory deliverables, ensuring compliance and timely submissions.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in Finance, ideally with some experience in a tech startup or extremely fast-paced environment
  • A relevant accounting or related qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CFA)
  • Strong attention to detail in accuracy and presentation of your work
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information in an easy to digest manner
