Finance Manager

Hybrid (UK-based) | Full-Time

Flexibility on how often you come into the office, as long as you're able to travel to the London office when required.

About Us

Reactive Markets is the 2026 OTC Trading Platform of the Year (Risk.net). Our network handles over $50 billion in daily trading volumes across FX, Equities, and Cryptocurrency, connecting 40+ of the world's leading liquidity providers.

We build trading systems that operate at the edge of what's technically possible — where nanoseconds matter and a dropped message costs real money. Our engineering team is small, senior, and deeply invested in the craft of building cutting edge, reliable, high-performance systems.

The Role

We're looking for a Finance Manager to own the operational management of our finance function — accurate, timely management accounts, statutory accounts oversight, and the processes and controls that keep our finances reliable as we scale. You'll run month-end close, own balance sheet reconciliation and cash flow, lead the team responsible for AR/AP, payroll, VAT, and HMRC processes, and bring the analytical rigour that helps us make good financial decisions as we grow.

You'll also manage external relationships (auditors, solicitors, bankers), support external investment and funding activity, and run accounts across multiple business entities, including regulated entities in different geographies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Month-end close and reporting — own the close process end-to-end and prepare the monthly management accounts pack (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), presenting to leadership as required

  • Balance sheet, cash flow, and VAT — reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and end-to-end ownership of the quarterly group VAT return

  • Statutory accounts and audit — independently manage the year-end audit and contribute to annual statutory accounts under FRS 102

  • Team management — manage the AR & AP team, setting objectives and developing capability

  • Multi-entity accounting — accurate inter-company accounting across parent and subsidiary entities

  • Systems and process improvement — maintain and improve finance systems, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains

  • Strategic input — financial modelling and risk analysis to support decision-making, plus external investor/funding support

What We Need

Qualification:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.

Experience:

  • Several years' experience in a small business finance function, with direct experience owning month-end and year-end close processes

  • Experience managing a junior team member or members

  • Experience running multiple business entities — parent and subsidiaries, including regulated entities across different geographies

  • Independent ownership of the year-end audit process

Systems:

  • Xero or similar is desirable but not essential where the candidate is system-adaptable.

Our Hiring Process

We keep our process focused and respectful of your time. Our process follows three stages.

Stage 1: Initial Conversation with Talent Acquisition — Video call, ~30-45 minutes
Stage 2: Hiring Manager Conversation — Video call, ~60 minutes
Stage 3: Leadership Conversation with our CEO — Video call, ~60 minutes

Feedback typically comes within a few business days between stages.
