The Finance Manager UK will provide operational and technical finance leadership across the UK business, with responsibility for financial reporting, control, treasury and governance. Reporting to the Head of Finance UK—who retains overall finance leadership and senior strategic accountability—the role will also support business initiatives, decision-making and continuous improvement.

Job Description

  • Lead financial reporting and control, including month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, balance-sheet governance, reconciliations and segment analysis.
  • Coordinate external audit and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Prepare financial reporting, analysis and presentations for the UK Board of Directors.
  • Oversee treasury and liquidity across the UK legal-entity portfolio, including bonds, guarantees and related financial obligations.
  • Manage the governance of a subsidiary Pension Scheme, working with trustees, advisers and other stakeholders.
  • Support business-performance reporting, financial decision-making and strategic initiatives led by the Head of Finance UK.
  • Work across the UK finance team and collaborate across the wider Europe Finance organisation to strengthen processes, consistency and financial governance.

Qualifications

  • A recognised professional accounting qualification - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent. These qualifications provide relevant pathways across financial reporting, audit, financial management and business strategy.
  • Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and control expertise, together with experience of statutory reporting, audit and treasury.
  • Experience managing liquidity, balance-sheet integrity and financial obligations within a complex or multi-entity organisation.
  • Proven people-leadership capability and a commitment to developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to work with senior leaders, boards, trustees, advisers and cross-functional colleagues.
  • Sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to combine operational delivery with support for strategic and process-improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in the energy sector or another complex international business would be advantageous.
  • A responsible, collaborative and impact-focused approach aligned with Statkraft’s values.
