Job Description

The Finance Manager for Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) will play a crucial role in supporting the financial strategy and performance of Visa’s B2B payments across Europe.

The position requires proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support the growth and operational efficiency of VCS’s diverse portfolio which encompasses solutions for Small Business, Large Middle Market Businesses and New Verticals.

The incumbent will report to the VCS Finance Director and will focus on using data and applying analytical rigor to provide insights, bringing life to MI reporting, and adding value in business decisions, whether during the budget round, during the year, or at specific investment decision points.

This role involves collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders such as VCS business team, VCS global finance team, broader Europe FP&A team and cluster finance teams.  Therefore, curiosity, flexibility, the ability to multi-task, and being self-driven are all required. 

This is an excellent opportunity to advance in a business partnering role with comprehensive P&L oversight—covering both revenues and operating expenses—and support a rapidly growing business that is gaining global recognition.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Support delivery of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and ad-hoc strategic financial planning exercises, including ‘What-If’ scenario analysis and responses to multi-year revenue and expense challenges
  • Build a good understanding of the Visa Commercial Solutions’ business models to add insightful commentary to business results to help senior management run their business
  • Leverage data and business expertise to ‘deep dive’ into key business trends and performance drivers to provide new insights and influence business strategy
  • Support the Visa Commercial Solutions stakeholders in building robust business cases for new investments, products and services to drive commercial value and support strategic planning and client deals
  • Coordinate and consolidate inputs from the Cluster Finance teams and VCS leads in European markets, Hub and Global Finance team for an overall view of VCS finances

 

Finance Business partnering

  • Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders and work closely with them to produce the Visa Commercial Solutions annual budget, quarterly forecasts and monthly reporting covering both revenues and operating expenses
  • Clearly communicate compelling messages to senior executives, external business partners, and Finance counterparts in other functions and regions
  • Assist and respond to ad hoc queries in a timely and appropriate manner, and be agile in approach to contribute to successful delivery of the team’s broad range of business partnering and analytical responsibilities

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
•5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
•6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
•Excellent analytical, data and problem-solving skills with superb attention to detail
•Suitable experience providing analytical insights in a commercial environment
•Exceptional interpersonal skills to build an effective and trusted business partnering relationship
•Strong oral and writing capabilities and the ability to ‘tell the story’ behind the numbers to senior level executives
•Self-starter with ability to work independently with limited guidance within a complex and commercially oriented environment
•Team oriented, collaborative and resourceful, with the ability to flourish in a matrix environment
•Experience in the payments and good knowledge of banking industry is preferred
