What You'll Be Doing:

As a Finance Manager - Balance Sheet & Controls, you'll be doing the following: 

Govern our UK balance sheet!

(circa £2.2bn in Net Assets).


 

Make a difference by driving teams to a better standard in terms of controls and accounting – enforcing our framework.

Line manage and develop two part qualified accountants.


 

Help us problem solve blockers in speeding up our month end timetable.

Feed into our risks and opps process with our Commercial Finance teams.


 

Improve our insight into performance of two small entities in the group.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Fully Qualified Accountant with either ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualifications
  • Proven Expertise: An individual comfortable with principles on concepts around financial controls, ideally with experience working in a retailer or consumer facing business.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to balance sheet management to drive confidence in P&L messaging and our understanding of working capital.
  • Problem Solver: Ability to identify and tackle challenging processes to help us reach a best-in-class standard for accounting governance.
  • Persuader: Skilled at influencing stakeholders and collaborating across multiple departments.
  • Someone keen to line manage, coach, and develop Management Accountants
