Finance Business Partner

Cromwell Hospital (High Street Kensington Offices, London, SW5 0TU)

Full time, Permanent

Hybrid Working (2-3 days per week in the office)

Salary starting at £60,000 per annum + 10% Bonus + fantastic Bupa Benefits

How you’ll help us make health happen

  • By driving Hospital performance in line with the strategy, through proactive management of several key operational departments’ financials  and providing decision support to the divisional managers.

  • Monitoring and understanding departmental KPIs along with forecast performance against plan. Provision of information and analysis to drive corrective action where relevant

  • Building relationships with the heads of department and ensuring they understand and can explain their monthly results at performance meetings.

  • You will be proactively seeking out options, with the head of department, for driving revenue and cost efficiencies. Appropriately challenging on spend and providing insight  and recommendations for key business decisions.

  • Building the financial case for capital investment requests, cost / benefit analysis of staffing changes and new services.

  • Leading on the 3-Yr plan process for respective departments, ensuring these are robust, aligned to the strategy and completed on time.  

Key Skills/Qualifications needed for this role

  • A qualified accountant with experience in industry is essential. Please specify your qualification on your application.

  • Highly competent in Excel and Power Point. Knowledge of Oracle, Peoplesoft and Compucare would be desirable but not essential.

  • Experience in assisting with business cases, investment appraisals and financial modelling with being able to produce outputs for senior Management and Executive teams, including the ability to draw out and summarise key messages.

  • An understanding of key Hospital business drivers and operations is desirable.

  • Strong commercial acumen alongside a robust understanding of finance processes.

  • A mindset of continuous improvement and efficiency, with the ability to challenge the status quo and an appetite to understand complex processes.

  • Strong stakeholder management, interpersonal and communication skills. Confident and robust enough to challenge senior colleagues where appropriate. The ability to build relationships with the business at all levels and the wider Finance community.
