As a Finance Business Partner Analyst – UK, Platforms & Public, you will act as a strategic advisor to business units, using financial data and insights to support decision-making, improve performance, and drive business growth. You will collaborate closely with operational and commercial teams, providing analysis, forecasting, and recommendations that enhance financial understanding across the organisation.
Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):
- Build strong relationships between the finance department and business leaders, acting as a strategic business partner to support growth efficiency, and profitability.
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic and operational initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans to align with business objectives.
- Monitor and report on business performance, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support month-end close processes, including preparation of the flash report, variance analysis and commentary in the monthly pack.
- Calculate quarterly commission accruals and sales bonuses.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to support business case evaluations and scenario planning.
- Partner with department leads to help them understand financial results and make informed decisions
These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or business partnering roles.
- Experience working in a commercial, fast-paced environment is an advantage
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or other data visualisation tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP and Planning systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, OneStream).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
