Your role at Chanel:

We are looking for a new Finance Business partner to join our team on a maternity cover contract to manage the UK Region Fragrance & Beauty (F&B), Travel Retail, Canada, Export businesses and provide analysis and insights into the distribution channels to support strategic decision making. Working alongside the business finance team across distribution channels to lead the month end close of your respective markets, review cost centre reports and prepare journals. You will conduct review monthly meetings with key budget holders to review actuals and forecasts and work to improve data integrity to enhance FP&A reporting and generate and issue weekly sales reporting.

Within Finance you will promote process improvements through streamlining processes and system improvements while ensuring the accuracy of management reporting and budgeting.

What impact you can create at Chanel:

  • Responsible for Travel Retail, Ireland and SA full P&Ls as well as following Canada.

  • Responsible for the preparation of annual budgets and building strategic presentations with the Regional F&B Director and Head of F&B Finance who will present to the Managing Director for Budget approval followed by presenting Globally.

  • Weekly and Monthly business updates (inc.revenue) providing insights to the F&B businesses.

  • Maintain strong relationships with multiple business directors and Finance team to provide strategic support and ensure clear communication and collaboration within the team.

  • Business analysis around business challenges or areas of development supporting business decision making along with the Omni-Channel Finance Manager.

  • Business support, analysis and consolidation of Capital Expenditure Projects with Head of F&B to be presented to Fragrance & Beauty UK Region Managing Director

  • Responsible for the preparation, review and challenging of business teams on the monthly management accounts and budgets for Export Markets and Travel Retail.

  • Build a relationship with Canada Market and teams to provide strategic support and ensure clear communication and collaboration within the regional team.

  • Ownership of data quality and maintenance within Location Tool and Regional BI Data

  • Work closely with the systems, business, and financial accounts teams to improve processes and reporting as well as find efficiencies within the business

  • Month End and closing reviews.

  • Dotted line with Financial Accounting team

What you will bring to the role:

  • Completed financial qualification (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent with 6+ years of working experience

  • Team player with positive, growth mindset

  • Flexible with good time management and professional confident demeanour when communicating with business teams

  • Ability to trouble shoot, use own initiative and work autonomously when needed

  • Strong excel skills with an understanding of financial systems
