Drive WPP's technological future as a key Finance Business Partner. Collaborate with the Chief Technology Officer and leadership team to shape and deliver cutting-edge software strategies, maximizing financial impact across our global network. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to shape commercial development for products used by operating companies in over 100 countries. You'll also provide highly responsive and effective financial support to the Chief People Officer, ensuring swift issue resolution and crystal-clear communication.

What you'll be doing:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Serve as the lead Finance Business Partner for WPP's CTO and leadership team, driving financial strategy and commercial success across products, partnerships, and talent.
  • Financial Management: Oversee global financial management, compliance, and performance for the CTO organisation (FP&A, cash management, and reporting) with an annual budget of ~$50m.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead financial forecasting, planning, and reporting for the CTO investment portfolio, including developing pricing models for new SaaS products.
  • Commercial Development: Guide the commercialization of new products from ideation through MVP to full market launch.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Provide key financial insights and reporting on CTO projects and transformation initiatives to inform strategic decision-making and maximize business value.
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction, operational improvement, and enhanced data quality across the CTO organisation and wider WPP network.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all business activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, mitigating financial and reputational risks in a complex, high-visibility environment.

What you'll need:

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). An MBA or equivalent degree is a plus.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience developing commercial models and pricing strategies for SaaS/technology products.
  • Strategic thinker with a talent for creating and articulating new business models.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, transformative environment, navigating organisational and geographical complexities.
  • Strong commercial acumen and decision-making skills, with an understanding of international business implications.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, make critical decisions, and maintain self-motivation in ambiguous situations.
  • Data-driven approach to problem-solving and generating insights.
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills.
  • Awareness of industry trends in skills, capabilities, and technology.
