Job Description:
As a Finance Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving finance transformation initiatives within our organization. You will be responsible for writing strong business cases, creating comprehensive business requirements, and leading finance workshops. Your expertise in data analysis, solution architecture, and data flows will be essential in ensuring the success of our finance transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and write compelling business cases to support finance transformation initiatives.
- Create detailed business requirements documents that capture the needs and objectives of the finance transformation projects.
- Facilitate and lead finance workshops to gather requirements, identify gaps, and define solutions.
- Conduct thorough data analysis to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design and implement solution architectures that align with business requirements and ensure seamless data flows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and operations, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide expert guidance and support to stakeholders throughout the finance transformation process.
- Monitor and report on the progress of finance transformation projects, ensuring timely and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Preferred Software Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modelling, budgeting, and data analysis.
- Experience with Power Query for automating data transformation.
- Familiarity with Power BI for visualizing financial and operational data.
- Knowledge of SQL for working with large datasets.
- Experience with finance-specific software such as Phinsys and PeopleSoft.
- Understanding of data governance and data quality tools.
Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent), or demonstrable relevant experience.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in finance transformation projects.
- Strong skills in writing business cases and creating business requirements documents.
- Extensive experience in conducting finance workshops and facilitating discussions with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analysis, solution architecture, and data flows.
- Experience in Insurance Finance (Lloyds market) Transformation/Financial Reporting is highly desirable.
- Experience with Phinsys is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
