About Swap

Swap is the infrastructure behind modern agentic commerce. The only AI-native platform connecting backend operations with a forward-thinking storefront experience.

Built for brands that want to sell anything - anywhere, Swap centralises global operations, powers intelligent workflows, and unlocks margin-protecting decisions with real-time data and capability. Our products span cross-border, tax, returns, demand planning, and our next-generation agentic storefront, giving merchants full transparency and the ability to act with confidence.

At Swap, we’re building a culture that values clarity, creativity, and shared ownership as we redefine how global commerce works.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll report to the Head of FP&A and work closely with the wider Finance function and beyond to build the systems, analyses, and decision-making muscle that help Swap scale profitably. Swap has grown rapidly and continues to do so—bringing more complexity, more data, and more opportunities to optimise. We’re looking for someone who can move comfortably between finance, data, and operations; someone who speaks finance and data, but is also hungry, proactive, and self-serve in how they uncover answers and drive outcomes.

Systems & Reporting
You’ll play a key role in setting up and maintaining the analytical infrastructure that powers commercial and strategic insight. This includes building performance dashboards, automating recurring reporting, and putting in place consistent, scalable workflows - ideally leveraging SQL, BI tools, and AI-enabled automation to reduce manual effort and increase speed and accuracy. You’ll also help design and run data quality checks across critical datasets, including billing and shipping, to ensure we trust the numbers we’re using to run the business.

Analysis & Profitability
Swap sits on rich data that can unlock meaningful margin and performance improvements. In this role, you’ll develop a wide range of analyses and models to understand what drives profitability across customers, products, and operations. Your initial focus will be to build out a customer profitability process end-to-end—from calculations and diagnostics, to clear outputs, recommended actions, and ongoing cycles with commercial teams (e.g., identifying where we should re-price, renegotiate, or adjust strategy). You’ll also support ad hoc analysis that helps the team move faster on emerging questions and opportunities.

Strategic Decisions & Cross-Functional Impact
Your work won’t sit in a spreadsheet. You’ll translate analysis into clear narratives, share insights with stakeholders across the business, and help ensure the right actions are taken. This is a role for someone who is forward-leaning - curious, analytical, and excited to embrace AI and modern tooling as part of how finance and FP&A should operate.

Key responsibilities
  • Build the foundations necessary to gain a comprehensive understanding of customer and product profitability.
  • Take ownership of a wide array of analyses (e.g. gross margin health, unit economics, pricing etc.).

  • Leans into using AI and tooling to streamline/ automate workflows and future-proof our Finance function.
  • Brings experience but is motivated to learn, can operate autonomously and takes initiative.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and G-Suite.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights and succinct yet impactful presentations for stakeholders.
  • Experienced in independently driving projects with multiple stakeholders forward.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python and/or experience with Financial Planning software is a plus.
