We have a newly created opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our finance team. This full-time role will be based from our Staines office and will provide essential support to the finance department, helping ensure smooth financial operations and assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks. The successful candidate will work closely with other finance team members and report directly to the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Updating accounting records including:

  • Raising and posting customer invoices to Sage.
  • Credit control
  • Posting of month end revenue and cost journals.

Project Support – timesheets:

  • To provide day to day project and business support as required.
  • Raising customer invoices as per contractual terms.

Reporting Requirements:

  • Production of monthly management accounts including a revenue report driven by time sheet records and the production of a cost report.
  • Analysis of the above to identify any unexpected differences.
  • Production of month end metrics to analyse the businesses underlying performance.

Requirements
  • Experience working in a finance support role.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
  • Previous experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage 50) is desirable but not essential.
