The Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support core finance operations, including revenue processing, ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and audit support. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue/Accounts Receivable
- Raising sales invoices
- Compiling grant claim packs and support
- Preparing the month-end aged debtors reporting
Ledger Maintenance and Reconciliations
- Weekly bank recs
- Preparing the month-end balance sheet reconciliation files
- Posting prepayment, accruals, fixed asset and payroll journals at the month-end
- Preparing the month-end reporting analysis
- Raising intercompany invoices and preparing intercompany reconciliations
Audit
- Support with audit queries
- Support with first-time adoption of IFRS 15 calculations
- Support with updating IFRS consolidation files and preparing draft note disclosures
About You:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes
- Experience with accounts receivable and reconciliations
- Familiarity with IFRS (particularly IFRS 15) is desirable
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Proficient in Excel and accounting systems
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively
