Finance and Strategy Manager - New Verticals

The Team

The New Verticals Finance and Strategy team's core mission is to help Deliveroo make more informed decisions on growing new & innovative areas of the business. As the scale and complexity of Deliveroo grows every day, we need dynamic & analytical thinkers to support in optimising decision making and driving profitable growth. The Role

Provide strategic insights and recommendations to support executive decision-makers, understanding the P&L impact of those decisions. You will lead cross-functional initiatives with senior stakeholders to manage data and model strategic initiatives to drive the long-term profitable growth of the business. This role is perfect for someone who excels at solving complex problems, possesses strong analytical and leadership capabilities, and can work closely with C-suite management. This role is based in London, UK.

Job will involve:

• Partnering with business teams to assess performance, challenge assumptions, and support strategic decision-making

• Developing and scaling strategic frameworks, tools, and financial models to support commercial initiatives

• Enabling teams to understand the financial implications of their decisions through tailored analysis and scenario planning

• Creating self-serve tools to empower teams to make investment decisions with confidence

• Leading forecasting and planning processes

• Collaborating across Finance and other teams to deliver company-wide initiatives that align strategy with execution
  

Requirements

• Extensive experience influencing senior stakeholders and executives

• Experience in a high-growth environment such as a startup or scale-up is preferable. Background in investment banking or consulting would be a strong plus

• Ideally a qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) but could also have a CFA / MBA

• 4-6 years work experience

• Expert GSheet/ Excel skills

• Extensive experience with complex financial modelling and scenario analysis
