We're Hiring: Finance Analyst
We are seeking a Finance Analyst for a high-profile role in Logistics Finance, supporting one of our external retailers. This position offers a blend of financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting, to produce insightful reports for the retailer's finance team. The role is based on a Monday-to-Friday; 40 hours weekly schedule.

About the Role:
Ocado has established a world-leading grocery platform in the UK and has expanded to serve retailers globally. Since 2019, Ocado has partnered with Ocado Retail to enhance their online business in the UK, supporting both Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFC) and in-store fulfilment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the annual budget and forecast process, acting as the liaison between the Accounting team and the Retailer, and preparing financial information for retailer submissions.
• Preparing periodic reports by producing journals, reviewing cost allocations, and providing management information.
• Delivering clear and insightful commentary on financial and operational performance metrics.
• Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Accounting, to ensure effective collaboration and strong business results.
• Reviewing and supporting capital spend approval requests, ensuring proper controls are in place, and driving improvements in business processes and financial controls.

About You:

Essential skills and experience:

• Newly Qualified CIMA / ACA/ ACCA accountant, or qualified by experience 
• Demonstrable knowledge of finance accounting procedures and controls
• Experience of running a month end process (invoices, accruals, prepayments), balance sheet reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in handling large datasets.
• Excellent time management and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate financial data.

Desirable skills:

• Minimum 2:2 degree with a strong academic record.
• Experience in managing period accounts, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Familiarity with accounting systems like Oracle or Hyperion.
• Personable, flexible, and proactive, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the capability to manage change effectively.
