 Job Purpose 

We are seeking an experienced and driven Finance Analyst to join our team to support the management of Treasury and Card Scheme activities.  


This is a pivotal role as part of our business growth plans 

Issuing and providing virtual or physical cards is a new addition to the suite of products and services provided by Andaria and will dovetail with the core business banking portfolio and move into offering embedded finance products.  


As principal memberacross three network schemes (Mastercard, Visa and Discover), we are also offering BIN Sponsorship services through our portfolio of BINs covering prepaid and debit card solutions to enable client developed card programs. 


As a Finance Analyst, you will be reporting to the Finance lead as well as working closely with other members of the Finance team and cross-functional teams including Scheme Management and BIN SponsorshipOperations, Risk, Compliance, Product and Technology and to ensure that the process and procedures are being followed for the smooth running of the card business.    

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Accountability for all aspects of the financial operations end-to-end process that form part of the card services operation including data feeds and movement of funds and data from key suppliers that impact daily reconciliation and settlement and our obligations from Scheme 
  • Financial Controls: Ensure that Scheme billing charges reflect our expected daily, weekly, monthly fees and charges from Scheme and assess trends to determine future fees and charges through assessment and analysis of the scheme billing software 
  • Regulation & Scheme Obligations: Complying with regulatory and scheme requirements on reporting 
  • Risk Management; Working with Risk and Compliance in identifying and managing key operational risk and managing mitigation appropriately  
  • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with various internal and external stakeholders as well as external partners and suppliers/partners 
  • Daily reconciliation with processor and schemes including treasury movements 
  • Treasury management: Management of scheme funds based on reporting provided by both schemes and Processor 


 

To fit within the Andaria team and as our new Finance Analyst, you should have:  

  • Qualified Accountant with a minimum 2 PQE, ideally from a FinTech or financial services business 
  • Experience in accounting and reconciling client funds in a regulated environment i.e. banking, lending, asset management  
  • Experience working with card network schemes and reconciliation tools such as Kani payments or similar reconciliation tools would be a distinct advantage Appreciation of regulation across card market  
  • Experience of operating with a fast-paced start up, fintech environment 
  • Flexible and willing to take a hands-on approach to the end-to-end operation  
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence 
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities wherever necessary
