Your new team This position sits in our Chivas Brothers business. At Chivas Brothers, our 1,600-strong team across 27 sites is committed to upholding the heritage of Scotch and ensuring its sustainable future, as well as opening it up to new audiences across the globe.
The scope of Operations stretches from Procurement through conversion (distillation and maturation) and manufacturing (or bottling) to all the downstream Supply Chain activities until the final product is delivered.
In addition, Operations play a very active role in Innovation, Talent Development and Operational Risk Management.
The Finance Operational Analysis team provide dedicated financial support to the Manufacturing and Production functions of our business. As part of this wider team, this team of ten people partner specifically with the manufacturing business to ensure full understanding and timely reporting of financial performance to the senior management team.
Your unique contribution
Managing cost streams and processes mainly in relation to Freight & Handling and Supply Chain, but also supporting the wider Manufacturing operation, you will have three main areas of responsibility:
1. Month-end & Reporting – to execute month-end close based on operational KPI’s and prepare monthly cost analysis and lead reviews with members of the wider Manufacturing team. You will support the Business Partner in preparing a view of cost evolution and variances year on year and versus rolling forecast, including detailed commentary, and collate and submit HQ KPIs, including ensuring the integrity of financial information within Finance databases.
2. Forecasting and Planning – to develop and maintain models to support detailed reporting and forecasting of Manufacturing costs and headcount. You will be a key contributor to forecast / planning cycles. You will also be responsible for the preparation and reporting of external cost impacts, including reporting on key variances by market and region.
3. Business Support – to support the Business Partner and engage with budget-holders to determine forward-looking cost, including preparing summaries for review. You will be the key contact for financial management of your business area. You will also support development and execution of continuous improvement initiatives for reporting.
Who you’ll be working with Internally, you will collaborate with leaders across the Manufacturing function to provide financial support and guidance.

• Have degree level education or equivalent.
• Are part or fully qualified in a recognised accountancy qualification.
• Have knowledge and experience in a wide range of accounting techniques and their application.
• Can work autonomously, managing your own priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Are highly skilled in spreadsheet and database management skills.
• Can develop relationships effectively to provide a reliable and consistent customer service.
