Job Description:
Alantra FIG M&A overview: M&A: Broad sector coverage with a proven track record of advising banks, lending platforms, insurance companies, asset & wealth managers, servicers, fintech, and all FIG related companies. Alantra works closely with financial institutions and the financial sponsor community, advising on a number of UK and EU FIG M&A transactions.
Based in London, you will work in a highly entrepreneurial and inspiring environment and become an integral part of our FIG team, specifically in the M&A area.
The day-to-day tasks will include:
- Support in execution of active M&A mandates: Preparation of marketing materials, modelling and valuation analysis, data-room management, etc.
- M&A Marketing initiatives: Market analyses of different industry verticals, preparation of market, strategic and industry peer analysis, screening of potential M&A targets / buyers, financial valuations, etc.
Associates have direct exposure to all seniority levels internally, as well as direct client contact where possible.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years M&A experience within an investment bank, boutique or Big 4 firm
- At least 3 years recent FIG-specific sector experience is essential
- Experience in some (not necessarily all) of the following sub-sectors – banking, lending, specialty finance, Wealth/Asset Management and insurance broking
- Drive, enthusiasm, creativity and excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience in reviewing analysts work, valuations, and training, mentoring and pitch presentations
- Excellent Financial Modelling ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
