Department OverviewThe new field engineer will be part of the System Support team in Denmark at our office in Glostrup. The support team consists of a wide range of system experts working closely together in order to solve any customer issues in a timely manner, helping our public & private customers being their best in the moments that matters.
The support team is very dedicated and motivated, working in an environment with a free tone of speech and where a good portion of humor is appreciated.
System Support team in Denmark where the department is responsible for providing infrastructure related warranty and maintenance support services to Motorola Tetra radio systems in Denmark and Motorola Solution Tetra projects in other Nordic & Baltic countries.
Job Description
Performing system troubleshooting for Tetra system components at the Switch and at the Sites
Performing system (software and hardware) field maintenance and technical support routines
Performing system software and hardware upgrades
Exchanging faulty or malfunctioning units
Providing remote technical support for customers and other Motorola engineers
Installation and commissioning of Tetra products and other related products
Supervision of Motorola’s subcontractors’ activities
Providing feedback to the team regarding any technical field observations, defects, trends, etc.
Supporting other Motorola Tetra projects in the Nordic & Baltic regions when required
Participation in 24*7 “on-call service” and, depending on the project, flexible working hours.
Ability to obtain security clearance to “HEMMELIG” by the Danish Security Authorities (PET & FET)
Participation in customer meetings
Contacting with technical teams, internal project teams, engineering teams, subcontractors and suppliers
Basic Requirements
Elektronik fag tekniker / Tele-tekniker / Elektronikmekaniker or Engineering university degree or equivalent
Knowledge of IP technology, IP networking, has CompTIA+ or equivalent network certification and has practical experience and understanding of networking.
Good understanding of IT and Telecommunications Hardware and Software and practical skills
Understanding of RF technology and communication
Knowledge of TETRA technology and Motorola system solution
Understanding Technical support and maintenance services principles
Practical experience of performing system’s (software and hardware) maintenance and technical support routines
System troubleshooting and problem solving skills, ability to diagnose faults and use test equipment
3 years of experience in system engineering for telecommunication
Fluent communication skills in Danish and English
Good interpersonal and customer communication skills
Driving license (cat. B)
