We’re building a team of motivated and eager self-employed Field Sales Consultants in the UK who are responsible for engaging and offering our solutions to prospect merchants. As our Field Sales Territory Manager you will be responsible for recruiting and supporting a team of Field Sales Consultants, coaching them to achieve outstanding results, and providing them with clear direction.

Overall, the role involves a combination of team leadership, customer engagement, and sales execution strategy to drive revenue growth and success within the payments market.

What you’ll do

  • Be an inspirational leader and help to reflect SumUp’s company culture and values towards a self-employed team
  • Recruit best-in-class talent for your team who will deliver outstanding results 
  • Regularly be on the field and champion the sales performance by offering mentorship and development to your team
  • Support revenue growth by reviewing sales figures ensuring your team is working with the right sales strategies to drive value
  • Review and ensure adherence to working KPIs, including Customer Acquisition Cost, Customer Retention Rate, Sales Cycle Length, etc. You will also be responsible for communicating these relevant insights to business stakeholders

You’ll be great for this role if

  • You have 3+ years of experience managing a Field Sales team. Management of a self-employed team and experience within the Merchant Services sector is considered a plus
  • You Lead by example and cultivate a positive, productive work environment
  • You display a high level of customer focus, you understand that maintaining positive relationships with customers is key to long-term success
  • You have excellent time management and prioritisation skills and thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and other CRM tools, data analysis tools, and other technologies is considered a plus
  • You have excellent English verbal and writing communication skills
