Overview: We are looking for someone with drive, passion, and a competitive spirit to help maximize Revvity’s commercial success. This Field Applications Scientist role will specialize in sales and support of the liquid handling and automation technologies and platforms for the UK and Ireland. Specific emphasis will focus on assay consultation, focused seminars, reagent, software and instrument evaluations, customer training, and follow-up support. Our ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the liquid handling and automation workflows and market with hands on screening laboratory experience. We are looking for a team player, with customer relationship building skills, who is hard working, smart, and loves to win.
This is a hybrid role - which will be partly field based and partly office based at our Alderley Park site in Macclesfield, Manchester.

The Field Applications Specialist team works closely with an integrated sales team, helping to optimize the research scope and vision for our customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the UK and Ireland life science and applied genomics sales teams in driving new business and managing existing customer requirements.
- Execute demonstrations of Revvity’s liquid handling platforms including NGS in support of pre-sales activity including seminar talks, talks at local conferences, poster sessions, and consultative discussions with key customers
- Support customer adoption of Revvity technologies by providing demonstrations and application development
- Assist sales team in closing large and influential opportunities
- Work at a scientific level with customers to maximize their experimental quality and robustness
- Provide product training to the field sales team as new features/functionality become available for designated products
- Coordinate with Product Management to identify, communicate, and incorporate new product enhancements to ensure we deliver competitive solutions that are differentiated through value as perceived by our customers.
- Be able to analyse data and review results to support the FSE’s in identifying root cause of any technical issues.
- Characterize the external market by performing competitive assessments for the region
About you:
- Must be Professional and Ethical with high Integrity.
- Proactive mindset with strong sense of responsibility and ownership. Ability to analyse and solve complex problems. Capable of influence and motivating others.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build strong relationships.
- Ability to operate independently and as part of a team.
- BSc biomedical sciences/biochemistry or similar, an advanced degree would be advantageous but not essential
- Extensive experience with liquid handling and automation robotics
- Experience with associated applications such as NGS, ELISA
- Experience with Revvity’s instrumentation is preferred
- Ability to travel - expectation is 60% travel time
