Job Description

Field Application Engineers are the first point of contact with our customers and front line for technical enablement, support, troubleshooting and development of new design revenue. FAE's are responsible for giving product presentations to the customer describing how Solidigm SSDs provide the optimal solution to their application. During customer's product design, they will be responsible for design assistance including on-site visits to review designs, examine customer problems and provide suggestions on optimal ways to use Solidigm products. FAE's should be capable of managing technical relationships between Solidigm and its customers by establishing connections with key technical individuals at their assigned accounts. FAEs identify and develop new opportunities within accounts. Give product demonstrations, execute benchmarks to show product capabilities and ease of use. Understand competitor's strengths and weaknesses relative to the appropriate technical strategy. Communicate strategies to appropriate field and factory personnel to obtain required support and coordination. Assist the customer throughout the development cycle to ensure successful completion of the product. Provide timely feedback to the factory on product and strategy issues to ensure the Solidigm is capable of responding to and/or anticipating changes needed to maintain success. Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.

Entry-Level Field Application Engineer

Solidigm is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our sales team as an Entry-Level Field Application Engineer. In this role, you will be the primary technical liaison between Solidigm and our customers, providing expert product knowledge and support to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

As a Field Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships by understanding their needs and recommending optimal SSD solutions. You will provide technical expertise, conduct product demonstrations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer success.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with key customer contacts to understand their technical requirements and challenges.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations to showcase Solidigm's SSD solutions and their benefits.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers throughout the product design and development cycle.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and benchmarks to highlight product capabilities and ease of use.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather product information and address customer inquiries.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and contribute to revenue growth.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong technical aptitude and interest in data storage technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a technical sales or customer-facing role.
  • Knowledge of the SSD industry and competitive landscape.
  • German, French or Dutch language proficiency is a plus.
