The Features Editor will work closely with the Senior Features Editor, to plan, commission and edit features as well as major packages and front-of-book, news- and service-driven pieces. 

You'll be equally comfortable on print and digital platforms, and thinking from a global as well as a UK perspective. Strong editing and writing skills, and an excellent knowledge of the travel industry are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with a network of editors, writers and correspondents across the world. This role reports into the UK-based Senior Features Editor.

What you will do:

  • Plan, commission and edit features across print and digital, including front and back of book pieces

  • Project-manage the ideation and execution of global tentpole moments, including Hot List and Gold List

  • Innovate and think entrepreneurially about new opportunities in the UK market

  • Work closely and collaboratively on digital content for the UK and other markets and ideate across social, video and other platforms when planning stories

  • Work on sponsored editorial content, as required

  • Represent the brand externally at conferences, on panels, events, etc, as required

Who you are:

  • A proven editor, you will have extensive experience in commissioning and editing long form features and the ability to edit sensitively and collaboratively

  • You will have a global address book of on-brand writers and stringers 

  • An extensive knowledge of the travel industry – and the founders and PR teams who work within it – is a must 

  • You will have exceptional organisational and time management skills and the ability to think and work quickly

  • You will have great communication skills and an openness to working collaboratively and globally as a true team player

Where will you be?
