Opportunity to be part of a senior team that shapes the future of catastrophe risk management in the global (re)insurance industry.
This is a market influencing opportunity at Lloyd's, based within the Performance Management team. You will play a critical role in understanding and supporting the market, as well as shaping and influencing the future of excellence in exposure management practices. You will receive a truly unique opportunity to collaborate with top industry professionals both across the Lloyd’s market, and within all areas of the Lloyd’s Corporation.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and analyse syndicate-level natural and non-natural catastrophe risk.
- Lead assessments of syndicates' Catastrophe Risk Appetites.
- Conduct operational and technical evaluations to enhance exposure management practices.
- Support the wider objectives of the Exposure Management team.
Lloyd’s market experience is essential. You will need the following technical understanding and stakeholder engagement skills:
- Principles underpinning the assessment of catastrophe risk, including probability, risk modelling and catastrophe modelling
- Catastrophe modelling practice, ideally from an underwriting organisation
- Challenges, issues and trends in exposure management and catastrophe modelling
- Insurance market including Lloyd's, London Market & International Market
- Ability to explain complex technical information effectively to a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to communicate confidently at a senior level and demonstrate technical credibility
- Ability to document assessment processes thoroughly and equitably
- Ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders
- Ability to structure and distil information concisely and clearly
