Hiring details:
- This requisition is for a locally hired position in Neu-Isenburg. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
- This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.
- Business Travel Requirement: You will be required to travel up to 50% of your working time to collaborate with different stakeholders and other Boeing locations
Position responsibilities:
- Develop solutions for complex system engineering tasks in the domain of avionic software and design.
- Describe architecture requirements and software specifications and communicate them to development teams when necessary.
- Lead, mentor, develop a team of engineers focused on the design, analysis, and testing of aircraft software and systems, with focus on cultivating a safety-first mindset.
- Explore new technologies and development approaches and assess their feasibility in your field of work.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Experience in RTCA DO-178(B/C) Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification
- 5+ years of experience in software or system engineering
- Familiar with standard development practices and tools (e.g., Git, Git Flow).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 12+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 12+ years of experience in software development life cycles, configuration management and agile software engineering best practices
- 9+ years of experience developing, documenting and maintaining architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
- 9+ years of experience leading software development projects
- 5+ years of experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB Simulink
- 5+ years of experience of working with one or multiple of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript
