The Morgan Stanley Investment Management Exchange Traded Fund ("ETF") business was formed in 2022 and consists of over $12.5 billion in assets under management and 20 ETFs. The ETF business leverages the firm's numerous competitive advantages, including industry leading research, customization, and investment capabilities.

The ETF Product Specialist is responsible for driving growth, adoption, and client engagement across the firm’s ETF platform within the European market. This ETF subject matter expert, partners closely with sales, product, capital markets, and portfolio management teams to support distribution, provide technical expertise, and deliver ETF solutions to institutional and intermediary clients across the region. The successful candidate will possess deep knowledge of the European ETF landscape, including UCITS structures, exchange listings, liquidity dynamics, and regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive ETF sales and asset growth across institutional investors, wealth managers, private banks, insurers, and platforms.
  • Deliver ETF education, portfolio construction insights, and product positioning to clients.
  • Identify market opportunities and develop targeted growth strategies across key European markets.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Develop strategic account plans for key institutional and intermediary clients.
  • Drive cross-selling of ETFs within existing client relationships.
  • Support RFPs, due diligence processes, and client onboarding discussions.
  • Articulate the firm’s ETF value proposition across active strategies.
  • Provide competitive analysis and differentiate products effectively.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences, client events, and roadshows.
  • Partner with Marketing to deliver targeted campaigns and thought leadership.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in the ETF field, in a client-facing role.
  • Strong understanding of the financial market in Europe, preferably in the following segments Asset Managers, Family Offices, Banks, Discretionary Managers and Insurance Companies
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of consultative selling skills and an ability to work alongside existing Sales Teams
  • Desire and ability to network and leverage opportunities within the market
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations on multi levels/geographies and build internal networks
  • Results focused and a self-starter
  • Bachelor’s degree ideally within the field of Finance and/or economics equivalent work experience
  • CFA or equivalent qualification preferred
