Position Summary
The Executive Support team plays a vital role in enabling senior leaders and the wider organisation to perform at their best. As a Senior Executive Assistant, you will provide exceptional, proactive support to a senior leader, helping them operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment. This is a high-impact role for an experienced EA who enjoys working at pace, anticipating needs, and adding value well beyond traditional administrative support.
You will oversee a broad and varied remit, including complex diary and meeting management, proactive inbox oversight, coordination of internal and external communications, international travel planning, preparation of briefings and presentations, and guidance on tools, systems, and processes. Success in this role will come from your ability to build trusted partnerships, connect activity across teams, and create the space for senior leaders to focus on strategic priorities.
You will bring sound judgement, discretion, and a strategic mindset, along with the confidence to operate with pace, complexity, and ambiguity. The role calls for someone who builds trust quickly, communicates with impact, and is comfortable influencing senior stakeholders across an international business.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a highly complex diary for a senior leader within one of LSEG’s global Engineering functions
- Providing sophisticated inbox management, prioritising communications and responding on behalf of the executive where appropriate
- Using sound judgement and critical thinking to anticipate priorities, spot connections, and proactively address emerging needs
- Partnering closely with the Business Manager and wider support network to maximise leader effectiveness
- Providing seamless support across in-person and remote settings within a hybrid working environment
- Coordinating domestic and international travel, including multi-stop itineraries, while ensuring compliance with internal policy and appropriate security measures for higher-risk locations
- Preparing and coordinating briefing papers, reports, presentations, and meeting materials
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships internally, with clients, and with key external stakeholders at all levels
- Managing expense-related processes, including claims, purchase orders, and supplier set-up
- Supporting the leader to remain aligned with LSEG governance and compliance requirements
- Welcoming and hosting visitors with professionalism and credibility at all levels of seniority
- Acting as a trusted and professional representative of the leader in all interactions
- Providing effective holiday and team cover as part of a collaborative Executive Support model
Candidate Background
- Proven experience supporting C-suite or Executive Committee leaders in a complex, global organisation is essential
- Experience in financial services or another fast-paced, highly matrixed environment would be advantageous
- A strong track record of professionalism, sound judgement, and excellent communication and organisational skills
