Capi was founded by Mitch Riley, Scott Liddle, and Tom Watson. Mitch and Scott were COO/CFO/GC and CRO/CMO at Taptap Send, a remittance unicorn, and have spent two decades between them working in emerging markets, and Tom is a career entrepreneur and founder who lead our Tech development.

Working with in emerging markets is opening the door for us to have an economical impact on African markets by allowing businesses to pay suppliers and partners through our platform - we are currently live across Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Kenya, and Mali, with many more coming soon.

Our team is made up of approx 60 people across 12 countries; we are a group of a highly-ambitious, get-it-done people, who like to work hard on something that has a tangible impact in the world. And we’re looking for more people to join our team!

Job Overview

This role will initially be a maternity cover (with a few months' handover), and will cover all EA responsibilities for both founders. Once our current EA returns, this role will shift to EA to one of the two co-founders, and potentially some Department Heads. You will be the linchpin of our dynamic team, responsible for managing complex schedules across time zones, organizing travel, coordinating meetings, and handling confidential information with the utmost discretion. You'll also organize team events and retreats, and be in charge of coordinating office moves as well as management and administration of our Paris office + team. In this pivotal role, you'll have the opportunity to streamline operations and enhance productivity of a rapidly growing startup, directly impacting our global mission!

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the calendars of two co-founders who are frequently in different time zones, including scheduling meetings and arranging travel (including booking flights, hotels, etc.) Note: This will likely shift to just one founder + some dept. Heads in post-maternity-cover portion

  • Draft and manage correspondence and communications, as appropriate

  • Organize team events and support team retreats

  • Process invoices, expense reports, and contracts

  • Find new offices and coordinate office moves as necessary as we grow

  • Organize and maintain digital filing systems

  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant in a high-performing environment VC-backed start-up

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and French

  • Exceptional organisational skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours when required

  • Experience with G.Suite, Calendly, Notion, Slack strongly preferred

  • Experience working in / with emerging markets a bonus

Additional Information
  • This role will be mainly in-office based, with occasional wfh days

  • Office is in the WeWork at Rue de Trudaine (37 Av. Trudaine, 75009 Paris, France)
