Reuters News Agency is seeking an Event Marketing Specialist to join our Growth Marketing team in London. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for delivering exceptional events and experiences. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events, including conferences, webinars, and networking receptions, to engage and inform News Media audiences globally.

The Event Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events, conferences, and webinars that meet the organization's goals and objectives. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication and project management skills.

You will work closely with internal teams to design and deliver events that meet our business objectives, enhance our brand reputation, and provide value to our attendees, while ensuring seamless execution and attention to detail throughout the event planning process.

About the Role

As an Event Marketing Specialist at Thomson Reuters, you will:

  • Research and plan events, managing budgets and timelines, and securing venues and vendors

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including speakers and attendees

  • Develop and distribute event marketing materials, such as invitations, programs, and promotional materials.

  • Manage event registration, RSVPs, and attendee communication.

  • Arrange logistics, such as catering and audio-visual equipment, and managing event setup and breakdown

  • Develop and manage project plans, identifying and mitigating risks, and evaluating event success

  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, managing expectations, and communicating event details

  • Oversee event execution, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring evaluation and feedback mechanisms are in place.

About You

To be our Event Marketing Specialist you will likely have:

  • 2+ years of experience in event planning, coordination, or management.

  • Experience with event software, such as event management platforms, registration tools, and marketing automation systems such as Splash, Hub Spot, Eloqua and Cvent.

  • Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask and strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Knowledge of event marketing and promotion strategies.

  • Communication and research and analytical skills are essential, along with an entrepreneurial flair and a target-driven mindset.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
