Summary: The role of Event Manager is a dynamic position requiring exceptional organizational skills, creativity, and strategic planning to ideate, brief and manage the execution of impactful events that resonate with our brand's vision. The ideal candidate be self-sufficient and have established relationships within the beauty industry, including with key venues, vendors, and partners. They will possess a deep understanding of market trends and competitor activations, combined with a proactive approach to delivering outstanding in-person events. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the role will ensure that events align with brand objectives, budgets, and timelines, while creating memorable experiences that drive engagement and growth. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Event Strategy, Planning & Execution

  • Collaborate with the Head of PR/Influence to align with the Global/local strategies and marketing calendars and ideate local event strategies supporting new product launches and core collection activations across EU/UK markets. 
  • Cooperate with global & EU/UK teams to align event strategies, unify execution, and implement best practices across markets. 
  • Develop and manage the end-to-end process for events, including concept development, venue selection, vendor management, and on-site execution. 
  • Coordinate with cross-function stakeholders (internal teams - local & global, broader PR team, external vendors, local PR agencies, etc.) to ensure all event requirements are met and to align on event messaging and assets. 
  • Oversee and manage event logistics, collateral order and delivery, including event-specific visuals, branding, guest gifting, and media materials. 

2. Budget Management

  • Create and maintain event budgets, ensuring cost efficiency while achieving high-quality & impactful results. 
  • Track event expenditures and report on financials, ensuring projects stay within budget. 

3. Vendor & Partner Management

  • Identify, negotiate, and ensure smooth incorporation of service providers (e.g. catering, AV equipment, event décor, beauty product suppliers). 
  • Develop and maintain a database of event partners, including venues, caterers, entertainers, continually researching to stay ahead of trends and opportunities. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams and external agencies. 
  • Support the SEPHORA teams across all markets with their specific event activations, ensuring collaborative, high-value partnerships that reinforce the brand’s position in their event space. 

4. On-Site Event Management

  • Oversee all aspects of the event on the day, ensuring all logistical and operational elements run smoothly. Handle any issues or emergencies that may arise during the event. 

5. Post-Event Evaluation

  • Monitor and evaluate the success of events against KPIs such as attendance, media coverage, and social media engagement. 
  • Prepare post-event reports, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement. 
Requirements

1. Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience working on events, including influencer events (preferably beauty) 
  • A strong portfolio showcasing successful events, from concept to execution. 

2. Knowledge

  • Understanding of beauty industry trends and influencer culture. 
  • Familiarity with European markets and cultural nuances. 

3. Personal Skills

  • Exceptional organizational and project and time management skills. 
  • Strong creative vision and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with agencies and vendors. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Great team player with strong ability to work self-sufficiently 

4. Technical skills

  • Excel & PowerPoint proficient
