Job Description

Business Unit:

The Marketing Team is responsible for developing the Firm’s brand awareness and supporting the firm’s client retention and client acquisition. They are responsible for setting, implementing and managing the marketing plan, in line with the business objectives.

The Team has ownership of all marketing activities for the firm covering the full marketing mix of PR, advertising, events, sponsorship, website, social media, literature and digital.

The Marketing Team is the guardian of the brand, ensuring it is correctly represented and the brand ethos is understood and maintained.

Brief Role Objective:

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Events Manager to take the lead in the strategy, planning and execution of the company events programme, working with other members of the LGT Wealth Management Marketing team as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the LGT Wealth Management events programme

  • Own and manage the annual events calendar, ensuring events are appropriately spaced, resourced and aligned with business priorities.
  • Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of a premium B2C and B2B events programme, tailored to specific audiences and objectives.
  • Manage event budgets, ensuring strong cost control and value for money.
  • Source and secure venues, suppliers and partners aligned with the Firm’s standards, negotiating contracts and maintaining strong external relationships.
  • Coordinate event logistics including guest management, CRM/event registration platforms, and event-related collateral (e.g. printed materials, banners and client gifts).
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers and the wider Marketing team to manage invitations, registrations and event communications.
  • Oversee event delivery on the day, including supplier management and coordination with internal colleagues (occasionally outside of standard office hours).
  • Produce post-event reporting and insights, including engagement analysis and recommendations to inform future activity.
  • Collaborate with global Marketing and Events colleagues on firm-wide initiatives, sharing best practice and ensuring consistency across jurisdictions.
  • Contribute to the development of new event concepts aligned with business objectives, preparing proposals for internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the internal contract approval process for event-related suppliers and ensure adherence to Compliance requirements and internal governance procedures.

Branding and sponsorships

  • Acting as brand guardian, both at events and ensuring that brand and communications guidelines are upheld.
  • Working with external design agency on creation of new design assets.
  • Acting as a key point of contact with LGT-sponsored organisations when a key focus of the sponsorship is events-related.

Campaigns and projects

  • Supporting the wider Marketing team on ad hoc projects and campaigns depending on critical business needs.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform well under pressure.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
