This is an exciting opportunity to join a globally expanding department that plays a critical role in supporting the investment management group. The successful candidate will help shape the regional mandate in partnership with the global head of the department and act as a trusted business partner to senior PMs and traders in the region.
The role leads regional coordination and support for the global investment business continuity risk management program, ensuring robust continuity strategies are maintained. You will represent continuity practices to local IMG leaders and governance forums. While the primary focus is business continuity, you will also contribute to global initiatives in access management and market data vendor management.

Core Responsibilities

1. Regional lead to drive continuous improvement for business continuity practices in IMG, working closely with IMG desks and leadership. A key component will be ensuring continuity practices align with EU/UK regulatory requirements.

2. Supports the development of strong risk assessments, change management practices, internal risk monitoring and reporting infrastructure, targeted reviews, controls assurance, and external monitoring programs.

3. Conducts advanced business continuity and investment access risk assessments. Analyzes and investigates results of testing and makes recommendations to management for business continuity risk reporting.

4. Ensures consistent implementation of global business continuity and investment access risk policies and procedures.

5. Develops and maintains metrics to communicate the status of measures effectively. Leads the development of effective and efficient risk monitoring and reporting routines.

6. Develops and maintains knowledge of financial markets, securities and general investment themes in order to bring an informed perspective to investment access and business continuity risk management processes and policies.

7. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

8. Will contribute to local market data vendor management needs periodically, as needed.

Qualifications

Proven related work experience.

Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Experience with supporting investment areas, e.g., PM, trading, investment operations, operational risk management etc.

Experience implementing end user automation tools (PowerBI, Appian, Python etc.) is desirable, but not required

Special Factors:

Vanguard is not offering sponsorship for this position. This is a hybrid position and would require you to work in the London office Tuesday-Thursday.
