ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are searching for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our OpenDoor team as a Measurement xLOB EU Lead. This is a Full Time position based in London. This role plays a crucial part in supporting WPP's mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence and best in class service for Amazon in every country across its diverse businesses, including XCM, Prime Video, and RMI. This role has a dual reporting line into both Global Measurement Leads and is accountable to all EU LOB (line of business) Client Leaders. 


RESPONSIBILITIES 


  • Work closely with the global measurement leads to develop and lead our Measurement vision and proposition across EU 
  • Own the collaboration across EU Amazon LOBs to ensure consistent measurement standards, share learnings, and leverage scalable solutions that drive efficiency and alignment across teams, connecting in to other regions. 
  • Be responsible for translating client briefs to identify the most appropriate measurement methodologies including brand lift, digital attribution, and measurement & derivation of various exposure metrics such as multi-media reach, attention & other metrics. 
  • Evaluate measurement capabilities, ensuring a solid understanding of their statistical robustness and limitations. 
  • Develop clear and comprehensive measurement frameworks and learning agendas to define success metrics for campaigns and brand performance. 
  • Anticipate client needs by proactively identifying future challenges and opportunities in measurement. Provide strategic guidance to keep the team ahead of industry trends and deliver innovative, forward-thinking solutions beyond responding to briefs. 
  • Develop experimental designs, including A/B testing, multi-cell lift studies, and geo-testing, with a strong grasp of the underlying statistics and logistics required for robust implementation. 
  • Deliver "best in class" analytical capabilities across the wider Measurement team, including the use of new methods, techniques, tools and systems. 
     
  • Be conversant with the basics of AI and its integration into measurement methodologies, including leveraging AI-driven tools for predictive modeling, optimisation, and insights generation. 
  • Work with data strategy to identify and integrate new and/or improved data sources that can improve media planning and/or performance. 
  • Work with the strategy, planning and activation teams to ensure the learnings from previous analysis are fed back into future planning cycles. 
  • Lead target setting and benchmarking for future campaign performance based on historical trends and drivers of performance beyond marketing levers. 
  • Co-ordination of teams across multiple locales to ensure consistency in approach, application and knowledge sharing.   
  • Be the SPOC for developing proposals, developing proof of concept and own responsibility of delivery of sanctioned projects in partnership with Choreograph or other WPP business units for driving an incremental scope and revenue.   
  • Partner with the global central service lead and the measurement teams across regions to build uniformity of the measurement approach.  
  • Manage and develop the EU Measurement Team, focusing on team performance, workflow efficiency, and professional growth. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Excellent knowledge of advanced measurement methodologies including lift studies, geo tests, measurement frameworks, learning agendas, testing methodologies, digital attribution, marketing mix modelling and knowledge of various campaign metrics.  
  • Very strong client relationship skills.  
  • Excellent understanding of experimental design, including multi-cell lift studies, geo-testing, and A/B testing, with the ability to apply statistical principles to ensure robust results.  
  • Good working knowledge of media owner measurement capabilities and the ability to evaluate their statistical reliability. 
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analytical concepts into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, or similar tools for data analysis, along with advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and visualization. 
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams, fostering collaboration, and leading by example. 
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience driving efficiencies and incremental revenue. 
  • Effective project management skills to manage resources and timelines effectively.

  • Be an active member of relevant industry bodies (e.g. IPA Effectiveness, MRS, Media Research Group) and attend training and events. 
  • Understanding and experience with consulting on Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM).
