Supports, enables, and drives the effective implementation of key business initiatives by providing sound leadership and advice enabling Associates to make ethical and compliant decisions and take smart risks.


 

Job Description

Major accountabilities:

  • Leads the engagement of local leaders and educating Novartis Associates in building a strong ethical culture in complying with applicable laws, regulations and industry codes, and Novartis policies and procedures.
  • Empowers associates to do what's right by building a sustainable culture that is anchored in ethics, integrity and speaking up.
  • Builds cross-functional partnerships to provide sound counsel and facilitate smart risk-taking across the business.
  • Champions an innovative and compliance mindset that embraces agility and creativity without compromising on ethical standards.
  • Establishes appropriate risk management, internal controls and monitoring to prevent, detect and respond to unlawful and unethical behaviour.
  • Conducts compliance risk assessments including third-party due diligence audits and other applicable self-assessments to monitor the status of the Compliance programme.
  • Works with the business to identify, categorize and manage key risks.
  • Develops and implements local communication and training plans on relevant policies and procedures based on overall group plans and Association of British Pharmaceutical Industry Code of Practice training requirements.
  • Actively engages in local external and internal Compliance networks to identify emerging trends in the local market, regulatory environment shares best-practices.
  • Supports the identification and remediation of misconduct.
  • Supports the Country Ethics Risk Compliance Head with other compliance tasks and initiatives

    Minimum Requirements:
     

    Work Experience:

    • University degree in a relevant or related field
    • Professional English level spoken and written
    • Collaborating across boundaries
    • Cross cultural experience
    • Innovative and enterprise mindset and willingness to Continuously learn
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
    • Good Project Management and Operational Excellence standards
    • Ability to drive a compliance culture
    • Compliance reporting procedures, monitoring, controls testing and business partnering
    • Strong knowledge of the ABPI code of practice
