The Role

ERT ACCOUNT MANAGER

LOCATION:

UK, Role covering Midlands, North England & Scotland

REPORTS TO:

Sales Director – UK

MAIN PURPOSE:

Develop and grow F&P’s brand and products across Electrical Retail accounts through strategic sales planning and dedicated account management that increases market share and delivers profitable growth in the short and long term.

SCOPE:

An ambassador for our brand focussed on delivering a premium end-to-end customer experience across Electrical Retail accounts within the premium & luxury retail market. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Planning & Delivery

  • Responsible for planning and executing the national retail strategy for Electrical Retail accounts, ensuring alignment with global objectives and growth goals.
  • Develops a Strategic National Sales Plan (NSP) that includes annual sales targets, product placement, marketing, and promotional programmes, while effectively leveraging social media and online marketing efforts.
  • Ensures disciplined and effective execution of NSPs, including any identified priority changes, resulting in increased product market share and profitable growth.
  • Engages stakeholders to ensure highly effective cross-functional collaboration, including global support functions, meeting business needs.
  • Provides regular reporting updates on account portfolio to the local and global Market Group.

Account Management

  • Deeply understands customer account businesses and environmental influences, keeping up with changes and best practices that affect strategic plans.
  • Makes decisions based on a comprehensive, market-wide view and understands how these decisions impact the business.
  • Manages and cultivates existing account relationships to leverage growth opportunities within the electrical retail sector.
  • Identifies and actively pursues new customer opportunities, fostering enthusiasm and affinity for the brand's vision and products.
  • Ensures seamless representation of the brand's value proposition across all accounts, including ensuring merchandising and brand representation is achieved and supported both in-store and digitally.
  • Works with customers to maintain product availability, meets customer needs, and offers proactive support, including product training, to drive sales.
  • Monitors daily sales performance metrics to maximise revenue and margin.

Brand Ambassador

  • Develops effective relationships that add value to internal and external customers.
  • Acts as a brand ambassador in all interactions with customers ensuring relationships are built on mutual trust.

Health & Safety 

  • Promotes a culture of health and safety within the team and wider business.
  • Takes practical steps to ensure personal safety at work, ensuring actions or inactions do not harm others.
  • Follows safety instructions, proactively reports workplace hazards and incidents, collaborating with Health & Safety Representatives.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous account management experience is essential.
  • Experience and passion for the Electrical Retail, Consumer Electronics, or Technology industry is highly desirable.
  • Shows a positive and progressive attitude and a flexible approach to change.
  • Has a strong desire for self-development and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Proven track record in successfully increasing sales and margins within an account portfolio.
  • Understanding of constructing a Sales Plan in line with the overall company strategy, utilising various levers.
  • Effective communicator, capable of analysing business results, constructing and implementing creative solutions, and delivering actionable insights to customers.
  • Experience working within a "premium" culture and environment would be beneficial.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office 365 tools – specifically Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
