PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of ERP & IT Project Manager to be based in either of the following locations, Westport, Ireland OR Thurnscoe, UK. Portwest is one of the fastest growing workwear companies in the world currently employing over 5,300 staff worldwide, with customer service staff in over 130+ countries and 11 Global warehouses in UK, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain, UAE, USA and Australia. We design, manufacture and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities.

JOB SUMMARY: 

Portwest are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated ERP & IT Project Manager to help deliver technology and business transformation projects across our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in project coordination or ERP support who’s ready to take the next step into managing end-to-end projects with guidance and mentorship from experienced colleagues.

You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party suppliers to help deliver ERP and IT initiatives that improve our operations and processes.

 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Support the planning and delivery of ERP and IT projects, ensuring objectives, timelines, and deliverables are achieved.
  • Assist in defining project scope, requirements, and success criteria with business stakeholders.
  • Help prepare project documentation, including project charters, schedules, and status reports.
  • Coordinate communication between business users, test teams, and technical teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Track and report on project progress, risks, and issues, escalating as needed.
  • Support governance activities, including meeting coordination, minutes, and action tracking.
  • Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement within the IT Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Participate in testing and change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 2–4 years’ experience in IT project coordination, ERP support, or a related role.
  • Understanding of ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, IFS, or Infor M3 (experience with Infor M3 is a strong plus).
  • Exposure to business process areas such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Finance.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, or MS Project).
  • Eagerness to learn formal project management methodologies and progress toward certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile).
  • A collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
