Team/Role Overview

Enterprise Risk Technology (ERT) is part of Finance, Markets and Credit Risk Technology (FMCRT) Group.
ERT delivers innovative engineering solutions for the investment bank’s Counterparty Credit Risk, Market Risk and Regulatory Capital user communities globally.
Clients include Risk managers, Trading desks, Financial controllers and various regulatory reporting groups across the globe. The scale and complexity of the applications in the stack require the use of advanced technologies to manage very large data sets, horizontally scalable, massively parallel compute and data processing architecture, and business Intelligence tools to provide drill downs.

What you’ll do

Enterprise Risk Technology is looking for a Global Head of Financial Risk Analytics for its Engineering Practice.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing a strategic vision to evolve the financial risk platform adopting industry and Citi best practices.
They will work with Risk and Quantitative business partners to lay out and execute a modernization roadmap for Enterprise Financial Risk. The candidate needs to demonstrate robust hands-on software engineering skills and a proven track record of successful delivery of risk applications in major banks or financial engineering practices.

Excellent communications skills are required to negotiate internally at very senior level of the Firm to obtain the desired outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide evolutionary vision for cross asset financial risk calculations across data, technology, infrastructure, and high-capacity computing domains.

  • Develop the strategy, plan and deliver solutions on an enterprise level coordinating with the larger risk and regulatory Citi agenda.

  • Act as interface across multiple channels, to proactively drive initiatives and define direction for future projects.

  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across the firm to ensure alignment with the strategic plan;

  • Impact ERT technology function through responsibility for planning, budgeting, setting policies and contribution to strategic decisions.

  • Manage financial risk functional area. Evaluate team performance, make recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations and other personnel actions.

What we’ll need from you

  • Hands-on development experience in high-capacity computing for financial risk applications.

  • Advanced handling of Pyton and C++.

  • Sound understanding of banking Risk and Capital regulatory framework and particularly of CCR/PFE, Basel IMM, SA CCR.

  • Strong leadership skills and proven track record in managing teams of developers.

  • Ability to influence senior leaders through excellent data driven communication skills.
