Job Description

THE ROLE 

You will act as the trusted advisor for key customers, helping them on their journey to extract value from data. Day-to-day you will interact with senior stakeholders to understand the opportunities that exist to drive business value from data and translate those opportunities into technology solutions. You will be the technical authority within each customer you work with and help to steer the customer in the right direction from a strategic perspective. 

 
RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Acting as a trusted advisor and thought leader for key, strategic customers 
  • Acting as a technical authority within customers to advise them on complex technical issues 
  • Triaging customer requirements/use cases and assembling the right team of experts to deliver 
  • Engaging with senior customer stakeholders to steer their data platform strategy in alignment with business needs 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Experienced in the delivery of complex data & AI solutions 
  • Strategic and operational decision-making skills 
  • Ability to guide, direct or influence people 
  • Ability to identify opportunities and issues 
  • Willingness to learn based on feedback 
  • Able to help others develop 
  • Willingness to stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies and best practices 
  • Experience working within agile, fast-moving environments 
  • Understanding of data platform methodologies and architecture approaches (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault, Data Mesh, Data Products, Lakehouse's, etc) 
  • The ability to document architectural designs in the form of conceptual, logical and physical models  
  • Ability to discuss enterprise data and the impact on a business including master data management, data quality, data literacy and initiatives such a single customer view 
  • Ability to present technical solutions in a way that engages both technical and non-technical stakeholders 

What about technical skills? 

  • Deep technical experience (multiple, complex solutions delivered) in at least 1 of the following: 
  • Azure Databricks 
  • Microsoft Fabric 
  • Azure Synapse Analytics 
  • Public Cloud Experience in Azure and/or AWS 
  • Subject matter expertise in at least 3 of the following areas: 
  • Data Engineering 
  • Data Modelling 
  • Data Strategy / Governance 
  • Data Visualisation 
  • Data Science / AI 
  • DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure 
  • Application Development 
  • Experience of TOGAF, DAMA or a similar architectural framework (nice to have) 
  • Experience of data management tools such as Purview, CluedIn, Collibra, Informatica or Profisee 

Certifications (Nice to have) 

  • Databricks Certified Associate / Professional 
  • Databricks Partner Solution Architect Champion 
  • Microsoft Azure Certifications – Data Engineering, AI, Solution Architecture
