About the role & team

We are seeking a seasoned, data-driven, and commercially astute Account Manager to join eBay’s UK Enterprise Seller Development team to focus on the Hard Goods category. This is a vital role within our organisation, dedicated to driving strategic growth in one of eBay’s most important verticals.

You will ideally bring a strong background of handling complex accounts, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver against ambitious growth and customer satisfaction targets.

 

What you will accomplish

  • Manage and develop the relationship with key brands and sellers

  • Support sellers to achieve top-rated seller standards and customer satisfaction, such as improving fulfilment and customer service

  • Influence sellers to run promotions, or participate in coupons 

  • Support sellers to optimise their listings and close range gaps

  • Collaborate to improve availability for key products

  • Increase visibility of your sellers’ products, applying best practice of advertising and securing secondary space such as: homepage, Daily Deals, events pages, CRM and potentially PR

  • In some instances, negotiate, and deliver, annual contracts to improve eBay shoppers’ experience and grow GMV

  • Collaborate with brands to increase awareness and improve our customers’ experience

What you will bring

  • Proven experience in account management, commercial strategy, or sales leadership within a matrixed organisation

  • Outstanding collaborator coordination and teamwork experience

  • Strong analytical approach with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies

  • Effective communicator with experience representing organisations externally

  • Familiarity with the ecommerce or hard goods/electronics sector is a plus
