As an Engineering Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in building a world-class engineering function where technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do. You'll create an environment where engineers are empowered to solve meaningful problems at scale while balancing long-term technical strategy with delivery.

What you'll be doing:
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing engineering team.
  • Recruit, develop and retain engineering talent.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, psychological safety and continuous improvement.
  • Drive technical excellence and engineering best practices.
  • Own the technical health, reliability and maintainability of critical customer facing systems.
  • Partner with Staff and Principal Engineers on architecture and technical strategy.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to balance delivery, customer value and technical debt.
  • Champion Agile ways of working and data-driven engineering improvements.
  • Drive adoption of AI-augmented engineering practices and developer tooling.
  • Ensure engineering practices align with governance, security and risk requirements.
What we're looking for:

You'll bring proven experience leading high-performing software engineering teams within modern technology organisations. You'll have a strong software engineering background, excellent communication skills and experience guiding architecture, scalability, maintainability and reliability. You'll be passionate about developing people, improving developer experience, embracing AI-augmented engineering practices such as Spec Driven Development and delivering high-quality technology that creates value for customers and the business.
