The Role

As an Engineering Lead at Savings, you will lead an agile team of engineers on engineering practices, processes, and continuous improvement.

💰The Savings squad is one of the most crucial squads of the app.
The team is responsible for the cash products of Plum of the app, including savings products having impact across all of our users across the EU and the UK!

Our Squads are mission driven and include Product Managers, Designers, Backend and Mobile engineers, aiming to develop and maintain products, services and tools towards an unforgettable user experience, as well as aiding any related operations from Plum’s side. 

Squads are organised into Pillars which align with our different strategic business areas. We trust massively on data driven, well informed squads that own their work.
Engineering leaders are accountable for the technical quality and delivery outcomes of their area. They are leaders that put their people in the best condition to grow in their professional journey and make them achieve their mission successfully.

Your key responsibilities 🎯

  • Lead the team in delivering results aligned with company targets and support the systems they build.
  • Act as a role model and mentor, coaching engineers and managing their career development.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to drive technical excellence.
  • Oversee architectural design, code reviews, and establish Agile processes.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of components in the Plum stack.
  • Stay updated on tech trends to mentor the engineering community.
  • Focus on team productivity and fulfilment while championing positive user impact and improving engineering standards.
