Job Summary
We are seeking a visionary Head of Engineering to lead the development of our enterprise-grade AI solutions. This individual will serve as the product leader, driving the technical strategy, architecture, and execution of our AI solutions, which integrate agentic workflows to dynamically populate and manage the proprietary content accessed by these systems. The ideal candidate will also have a passion for utilizing AI to enhance engineering processes, enabling our team to perform at scale and deliver impactful solutions efficiently.

This role partners deeply with our AI Innovation & Enablement Lead to design solutions that transform both our clients' operations and Elixirr's own ways of working. You’ll lead the charge in building not just enterprise-grade AI products, but also internal tools that redefine productivity and unlock the full potential of agentic AI across our firm. From solution ideation to rapid prototyping, you will be empowered to pursue high-impact ideas with startup-level agility inside a global consultancy.

This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role requiring deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver innovative, scalable, and secure AI products.

Responsibilities

Product Leadership

• Define and execute the technical vision and roadmap for the AI solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and client needs.
• Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and robust platforms for deploying enterprise-grade AI solutions and accelerators.
• Oversee the integration of agentic workflows that streamline the ingestion and management of proprietary client data.
• Drive the development of AI-powered tools that enhance the day-to-day productivity of Elixirr consultants and teams.
• Identify internal pain points and prototype solutions that scale across the firm.

Engineering Management

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Establish and enforce best practices for software development, deployment, and maintenance.
• Manage resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Leverage AI-driven tools and technologies to optimize engineering workflows and improve team efficiency.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate closely with the AI Innovation & Enablement Lead to shape and scale transformative AI products.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, data science, and sales, to ensure cohesive product development and delivery.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide technical guidance during pre-sales and implementation phases.

Technology and Architecture

• Architect and implement AI and ML pipelines, including retrieval-augmented generation, large language models (LLMs), inference mechanisms, and data integration workflows.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise-grade security, scalability, and performance standards.
• Build modular and reusable software components to support internal use cases and potential external productization.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations, incorporating relevant advancements, including cutting-edge developments in LLMs and emerging AI frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, and DSPy.

Requirements

Technical Expertise

• Proven experience building and deploying enterprise-grade AI/ML solutions, including RAG, LLMs, and chatbot technologies.
• Strong proficiency in cloud-based architectures, APIs, and data integration techniques.
• Experience with agentic workflows, automation, and managing unstructured/structured data.
• Familiarity with designing software solutions for reuse and scalability across different use cases.
• Exposure to emerging AI developer frameworks and open-source tooling (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, DSPy) is a plus.

Leadership Experience

• 10+ years of engineering leadership experience, including managing and scaling technical teams.
• Experience scaling technical teams and infrastructure at a SaaS company to support hundreds of clients.
• Track record of successfully delivering complex, high-impact products in a fast-paced environment.

Strategic and Communication Skills

• Exceptional ability to translate business goals into technical strategies and execution plans.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and inspire both technical and non-technical audiences.

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced certifications or coursework in AI/ML, cloud technologies, or data engineering is a plus.
