About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data Group Leader to drive our data vision and lead three cross-functional teams: Data Science, Data Engineering/Warehouse, and Merchant Analytics & AI Agents. This role will be responsible for shaping the company's data architecture, ensuring scalable and reliable data pipelines, and enabling AI-driven insights across all products.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor 3 teams: Data Science, Data Engineering/Warehouse, and Merchant Analytics/AI Agents.
  • Define the long-term data strategy and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Oversee the development of data pipelines, warehouses, and analytics infrastructure.
  • Drive innovation in AI and ML applications, including merchant-facing analytics and agentic AI products.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to deliver data solutions that power business intelligence and automation.
  • Ensure high data quality, governance, and compliance across all systems.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or data science, including team leadership.
  • Strong background in modern data stack (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, etc.).
  • Proven experience building and scaling data teams and architectures.
  • Understanding of machine learning, applied AI, and real-time analytics.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across functions.
