At a time of rapid growth, Newton needs to reset its approach to employee engagement, moving from a UK centric business to one of global delivery. You’ll take the lead in reviewing the strong foundations we have in place and then help to shape how we evolve for the future. The role will help us to establish a strong engagement framework where inclusion is centre stage and reflected across our entire employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:

  • Reset our engagement model, creating a roadmap for growth and evolution which will embed engagement across the business and into key moments within our employee lifecycle
  • Own and drive our engagement insight, providing clear, data driven reporting. Review and redesign Newton’s insight approach to engagement including surveys, forums, listening channels and data driven insight tools. Lead survey implementation and ensure that clear recommendations and action plans are created, owned and tracked for follow-through across the business
  • Strengthen employee forums and feedback loops, ensuring employee voice is meaningfully escalated and acted upon
  • Review and evolve the EDI strategy working to implement recommendations and evolve our approach in ways that are fit for a growing, global business
  • Support and grow our networks and communities. Work with our existing networks to understand their value, challenges, needs and effectiveness so that they become an active part of our engagement proposition and are able to thrive.
  • In partnership with our communications and event teams, be part of how we build a structured, inclusive annual calendar of engagement activities, aligned with cultural moments, inclusion events and business milestones
  • In partnership with our communications and learning and development teams, be part of how we help every leader to be an engaging leader, with the support in place to enable them to be succesful and drive engagement at a local level
  • In partnership with our people ops team, develop a scalable wellbeing framework that is responsive to both our Newton demographic and our global aspirations. Create a practical roadmap for next-stage evolution
  • In partnership with our change transformation ‘Future Newton’, ensure engagement activities support our growth and the required change, identifying risks and targeting interventions
  • This role will require regular travel across our London and Oxfordshire offices and to our company-wide events

Requirements

We’re looking for someone that is really excited by the value that engagement can bring in an organisation. You’ll be both passionate about your work, as well as a strong subject matter expert in your field.

Essential skills and experiences we are looking for:

  • Strong understanding of engagement, inclusion and wellbeing practices that shape and cement culture.
  • Designing and delivering engagement programmes and change initiatives, surveys and listening strategies in complex or growing organisations.
  • Skilled in data interpretation, turning insight into meaningful action.
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders and influencing change [particularly in an environment where perspectives can be strongly held]
  • Comfortable operating autonomously, bringing fresh thinking and external best practice
  • Supporting leaders to connect engagement activity to real business outcomes
  • Prior experience of the application of engagement practices in a professional services or similar environment is desirable

We offer a highly competitive salary and our generous benefits package includes Life Assurance, Income Protection, pension contributions and 28 days holiday (not including bank holidays). We also operate profit share and equity schemes so that our people share in the success of the business. The profit share bonus is based on company performance and typically paid out in March and September.
